Microenterprises

A microenterprise is a business operating on a very small scale, typically started by a sole proprietor who has a passion for a specific product or service. 

Career Services

Through career exploration, discovery opportunities, and individualized career goals, Exceptional Humans supports Scholars to seek, secure, and maintain employment in competitively compensated positions in inclusive work environments in their local communities. 



Career Exploration and Discovery

Through instruction and assessment, we support individuals as they explore their abilities, areas of interest, and preferences.

Job Placement Services

For adults who are ready to enter the workforce, we offer assistance and support with career planning, job development, job coaching, and retention services. We are committed to working with each individual to find a job that fits their skills, abilities, and interests.

On-the-Job Support Services

Once employed, individuals and their employers will continue to receive support, such as coaching, retention support, and disability and diversity-awareness training sessions.

Community Connections

Fosters community relationships through engagement and activities that are based on individual scholars’ preferences, interests, and life goals.

  • The Scholar will actively participate in the program
  • The Scholar has identifiable needs for services and specific goals or outcomes
  • The Scholar does not pose a danger to self or others 
  • The Scholar is capable of respecting the rights of others
  • The Scholar must be able to attend 80% of the scheduled days 
  • If applicable, parent/ guardian must be willing to assist with program paperwork and planning meetings
